A lovely "southern" style turnip can be cooked like this: Dice turnip(s) into 1 inch dices. Dice 1 environment golden onion also into small dices. Meanwhile heat 1 tablespoon olive grease in a saucepan. Add diced turnip(s) and onion dices and cook until soft. Add 1/2 cup water or satisfactory water to almost cover veggies. Cover and simmer 5 minutes. Add 2 tablespoons soy bacon bits. Cook adjectives until vegetables are soft. Excellent served with fried potatoes, turnip greens and fried, diced complicated tofu with lacto-vegetarian pork seasoning. As delicious as your southern grandmother would cook but desperately vegan natural and "rib sticking" enough for the coldest winter dark!
Peel them dice them put them within water and boil for in the region of 30 minutes
YOU DONT! If you dont want to. Turnips are fine to devour if they're peeled. If you DO want to cook it, a short time ago throw it in some boiling hose for about 10 minutes. That works tooo.

Turnips can be eat raw or they can be steamed and mash like potatos. They can be eat in salads as resourcefully. We always put them contained by soups too. Good vegetable.

Peel the turnips next dice or chunk and boil in for a time water until tender. Drain hose and add 1/4 stick of oleo or butter, brackish and sugar, cook on low to medium warmth. I like to brown them for a moment in the butter. It give them a really good bite. I also like them on the sweet side.

BAKED TURNIP CASSEROLE

Ingredients:-

-1/2 lb. chopped bacon
-12 turnips
-2 onions, chopped
-1 clove garlic, finely chopped
-1 bell pepper, chopped
-1/2 can pet milk (sm.)
-2 egg yolks
-3 slices bread, toasted & crumbled
-1/2 stick butter
-2 tsp. onion tops, finely chopped
-2 tsp. parsley, finely chopped
-Salt & pepper to penchant

Method:-

1) Pare and boil turnips.
2) Drain and mash. Saute chopped bacon surrounded by heavy pot.
3) When delicately browned, add onions, bell pepper and garlic. Cook over low fry until tender.
4) Then add turnips and cook mixture approximately 1/2 hour.
5) Beat egg yolks and mix near Pet milk and bread crumbs and add to mixture.
6) Add onion tops, parsley, saline and pepper to taste.
7) Pour into casserole and sprinkle beside minced bacon.
8) Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour.
