What is whey powder??

Answers:
During the cheese making process, a coagulant (usually rennet) is added to milk, which makes it curdle. The solids are the curds, and the gooey is the whey.

Whey powder is this very solution, dehydrated into a powder.
"Little Miss Muffet, sit on her tuffet. Eating her curds and whey."
Whey is what is left after butter is made from cream. The curds become butter and the whey is the runny liquid that remains. Whey powder is the juice cooked down and then dried.
I hold seen the word 'whey' misused when referring to ingredients contained by Protein Powder at gyms and health clubs. In that grip, it is nothing more than dried egg whites, finely powdered. Not true whey.
