What's a honest buffet for a meat lover?


I'm wanting to date a vegetarian, but I love meat. She's not against meat on moral grounds, she lately doesn't enjoy the piece. What is a good feast that I could cook for her, that I would also enjoy? It can be completely lacto-vegetarian or a compromise meal. Vegetarian would be preffered, though.

My husband and son purely love their meats but immediately and then i sneak within a "healthy" meal on them and they lately eat it up! Here are a couple i'd resembling to share with you :
Pasta Bake
12 ounces rotini pasta, underdone
2 medium zucchini,chopped (about 2 cups or more)
1 jar of your favorite spaghettie sauce (meatless of course)
1 teaspoon dried basil leaves (its okay your a bachelor i think through if you dont have it.. use italian seansoning)
2 garlic cloves, pressed (you can smash them on the counter next to side of knife)
2 ounces freshly grated pamesan cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella
heat oven to 350 Cook and drain pasta according to pkg, Add sauce , chopped zucchini, basil and garlic, mix . In a baking dish start layering the pasta mix beside mozeralla and parmesan. Cover with foil and burn for 45min.. uncover and agree to bake an superfluous 5min serves great with garlic bread and salad.

Stuffed Mushroom-Spinach Pizza
4 ounces chopped mushrooms
1 1/2 ounce freshly grated parmesan
1 pkg frozen spinach
1/2 cup pizza sauce (or spaghetti whatever charitable of tomato sauce is okay)
2 pressed garlic cloves
1 pkg of pizza crust (get phillys, sold with the cookie dough and biscuits)
2 cups shredded mozzarella
2 lrg tomatoes, lightly sliced
Heat oven 425, combine mushrooms and 1/4 cup of the parmesan, spinach and sauce sprinkle pressed garlic over top mix well add on a dash of saline and pepper. Roll dough (you can use a floured cup or whatever you hold handy to roll) into a rectangle , place dough into a deep baking dish (shape doesnt matter) overlapping the sides of dish near the dough lightly pressing down on bottom. Sprinkle 1 cup of mozarella cover next to spinach mix then remaining mozarella and tomatoes, fold over lap dough parts into center of dish bringing the sides together.Sprinkle with rest of parmesan and roast for 15-20min till its gets a golden color.

Pot roast! Add potato's onions carrots cabbage and construct gravy. It should satisfy both of you and be yummy. Here a recipe if you have need of it. It's the best! Serve with melt rolls and a nice red wine you'll be in dude.

1 boneless chuck roast (about 3 1/2 lbs)
saline and pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 environment onion, chopped
1 small carrot, chopped
1 small celery rib, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons sugar
1 cup canned low sodium beef broth
1 cup low-sodium chicken stock
1 sprig fresh thyme
1-1 1/2 cup marine
1/4 cup dry red wine

4-6 servings

Adjust oven rack to middle position and heat oven to 300 degree F.
Thoroughly pat roast dry with serious newspaper towels; sprinkle generously near salt and pepper.

VEGETARIAN LASAGNA

1 1/2 quarts spaghetti sauce (your favorite homemade or jar spaghetti sauce)
1/2 cup grated carrots
1/2 teaspoon oregano
6 cooked lasagna noodles
1 (16 ounce) container ricotta cheese
1 pack frozen chopped spinach, thawed and in good health drained
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups thinly sliced zucchini
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
3 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

8 servings

55 minutes
10 mins prep

Mix carrot, oregano, and spaghetti sauce together.
Mix Ricotta, spinach, and eggs together in separate bowl.
Spread 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce within bottom of 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
Layer 3 lasagna noodles, 1/2 remaining sauce, 1/2 Ricotta mixture, 1/2 sliced zucchini, 1/2 sliced mushrooms, 1/2 Mozzarella, and 1/2 Parmesan.
Repeat layers next to remaining ingredients.
Bake in 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes.

You can always receive a dish that does well beside or with out meat. Something simple, uncomplicated to make, but merely don't put in the meat this time.


If you requirement meat with your dinner simply cook a lot of vegges , near a separate meat off to the side for you, simple solution

How about a nice omelet next to loads of veggies & cheese or even pasta with a veggies sauce, salad, garlic bread


I'm a lacto-vegetarian and my boyfriend is a meat lover, so I understand this problem. I manufacture things for dinner like cheese & spinach pastries (you can buy them from the supermarket and they are YUMMY), pasta near loads of veggies and a creamy sauce, baked potatoes with beans & salsa & sour cream. I never own any complaints from him about these meal even though they have no meat, and he scoffs them down so that's a well-mannered sign. Also, if she doesn't mind that you eat meat next cook a roast with heaps of different roast veggies and in recent times have the meat yourself. Good luck :)

get soya meat. its somekind of soya made of soya.looks close to meat. i think those are meat for lacto-vegetarian.


Cook a great pasta. italy is full of fabulous tasty non meat pasta dishes that you will never miss the meat. And, you will indeed impress her!
