Or, if you believe in adjectives that Darwin hooey, there be egg producing fish, reptiles and insects long before chickens evolved. This would front one to believe that the egg came first. But intuitively, I'm going with the biblical interpretation. That argument is more logically consistent 8)

It's simple. Think something like evolution. Simplistically, a chicken has to come from an egg, an egg doesn't own to come from a chicken.

Depends if you follow creationism or evolutionary theory. Creationism say chicken, plain and simple. It's wrong, of course.
According to evolution, it would in fact be the egg, as something that was not rather a chicken would lay an egg containing an evolved chicken...
