I like meat too but I try and avoid too much because it is rotting flesh and take an awful long time to digest. In some countries like the U.S. in that are a lot of additives that come through the antibiotics feed to fatten cattle, chickens etc. These are often estrogen rich and that is to say why some men are developing 'moobs' (male boobs).
There are strong links between bowel cancer and meat consumption - the thought of having to own a colostomy bag is a valid put-off.
I went lacto-vegetarian for some years but didn't take supplements and as a result I become quite below par, anaemic in reality, so now I munch through a little bit of fish and a few grams of meat in the order of once a month. So, when I buy meat, I only buy the best characteristic and free-range if possible.

a) I avoid meat for ethical, form and environmental reasons. I do not approaching the way animals are treated by the meat industry, to me it is only just sickening. I also do not believe that we as human were made to guzzle meat. There is so much evidence that shows this(which I won't go into, as I don't want this to turn into a debate).
b) I stopped ingestion meat a few years ago after reading various record articles for a class. As well as watching some of the video on line. I also be revamping the way I ate(which be not as healthy as I required it to be) and found that the vegetarian diet is a much healtheir mode of life.
c) As for meat eaters... I don't spectacle anyone any different because of how they choose to eat. I have a feeling that prejudices against any person whether it be for food nouns, religion, race, etc is wrong. I enjoy met my fair share of meat eaters who be very cruel, simply because I didn't eat meat. I snub to allow myself to sink to their level. I other feel that thier ridicule and intense dislike is not because they are a meat eater, but just because they are a bump. There are many general public who are like that within this world and I feel that they own other issues, if it were not vegetarian that they hated, it would simply be something else.
I know profusely of meat lovers, my best friends eat meat. I don't classify the ethnic group I know and meet into groups of meat lovers and vegetarian.

Each to his own. It would be nice if they educated themselves on the path animals are treated, the evidence is there to see. But i find most meat-eaters tend to try and blame farmers fairly than accept its them that rate for the pain,torture, cruelty and extermination. At 24 I was fighting fit, a long distance runner and hiker, near very little body corpulent. My father just have a major coronary, and to be undamaging I had a plethora of heart test performed on me. The doctor told me a heart attack be expected within four years time.
I give up red meat that day, focused on drinking poultry. A year later I settled I was drinking too much cheese and poultry, so I gave up the chicken and cut rear on the cheese. I then focused on seafood. But, come on I be kidding myself - I in reality thought this was well again. So at 25.5 years of age I went lacto-vegetarian. Within a year I was lacto-vegetarian. I celebrated the 4th year aniversary of those heart exams with some others. Things have improved, but still I have some work to do.
I stayed with the lacto-vegetarian diet and at 32 (four years later) I was tested again. The doctor could not believe the results, they have never seen such a turn around. I be told I had the heart of a sixteen year-old.
