I am 13 and am a strong believer in animal rights,so just now i decided to become a lacto-vegetarian. The only item my parents have against it is my growth. I hold not have my growth spurt but, and they say that lacking meat i will not grow a l0ot. What do you think? And, if you imagine i should still be a vegetarian, what should product a complete diet?

On average, every person surrounded by the United states eats 194 pounds of pork, beef, and poultry, combined, respectively year--- about partly a pound per day. Add fish and the per capita consumption of animals rises to capably over 200 pounds.
Many pigs are raised surrounded by what we could rightly call “livestock factories” (the animals never see the buoyant of day), and are slaughtered when they weigh about 265 pounds. The average American eat 53 pounds of pork a year, which is exactly one-fifth of an average pig. If every ounce of a pig was used for pork chops, spare ribs, bacon, and the close to, then respectively person would be responsible for one porcine release every five years. Given that bones and other by-products can’t be used for human consumption, the death rate must be closer to one pig every 2 or 3 years.
Consequence
A generous proportion of heart attacks and tumors are produced by the food we eat. And what brand of food do these reports indict as one of the main culprits that cause so much pain and suffering? Of course, we can guess.
Meat
In the Cornell Chronicle (Dec 1, 1994) Susan Lang writes:
“Americans will not lessen their rate of cancers, cardiovascular diseases and other chronic, degenerative diseases until they shift their diets away from animal-based foods to plant-based foods, according to research findings emerging-----
Nutritional biochemist T. Colin Campbell, study director said that drinking just small amounts of animal base foods is linked to significantly superior rates of cancers and cardiovascular diseases typically found within the USA. A research associate on the project, Banoo Parpia, observed: “One of the most significant problems with the American diet is the excessive intake of animal-based foods and the deficient intake of plant-based foods.”
Killing animals for food is an unwise and unsafe choice because it cause suffering to a form of life that have a refined mind which feel pain when slaughtered. For oodles people, this one thought is apology enough to become a lacto-vegetarian.
COSMIC LAW
Do ‘good’ for others, and in return you will receive pleasure; do ‘wrong’, and receive suffering.
Life is open-minded, and those who kill bring back what they deserve. The suffering inflicted on animals by people who devour meat is the suffering that rebounds on meat eaters as a result of the sufferings they’ve cause. We reap what we sow.
I am a vegetarian --- I am within my mid 40s and have NEVER fall sick. My son aged 15 is tall and we both are Perfectly Healthy

You need protein to grow; more than you give attention to. You're really too young to sort this out, and miserably, your parents don't seem to hold a grasp on the idea that they still enjoy the right to guide you on this front. Eat the meat, deal near the 'issues' after you've grown (physically & mentally).
Meat is good for you.Your body is designed to guzzle them and to use the nutrients they provide.
At your age you need that plus lots of calcium.

If we weren't expected to eat animals, they wouldn't be made of meat!
Tell your parents why you similar to animals so much they might listen and understand you.
If you are serious just about becoming a vegetarian, chat to a dietitian about what supplements you can appropriate to make sure you seize all the nutrients you involve since you are still growing.
I suggest you read the Food Guide for Vegetarians, which I've linked to below. It is published by the Canadian Dieticians Association and have a great food-pyramid with design about how to win all the vitamins and nutrients you'll call for. You can definitely verbs to grow normally on a lacto-vegetarian diet, as long as you eat a forceful, well-balanced diet.
A lot of vegetarians put away too much bread, pasta, rice and potatoes. This is horrible for their health!
You stipulation to be eating a WIDE VARIETY of fruits and vegetables every time! You need lots of different colors on your plate! If you guzzle the same foods again and again you won't draw from enough nutrients. You must verbs to get protein surrounded by your diet, through soy products, nuts, seeds and eggs. You have need of to reduce your intake of relinquish carbohydrates and focus on whole-grains. And don't skip on calcium- look for fortified juices, fortified cereal, and dairy products like cheese, yogurt and milk (which you can put away if you're a vegetarian... simply vegans completely eliminate dairy).
I suggest supplementing your ingestion plan with a multi-vitamin, whether or not you're a lacto-vegetarian!

Not eating animals doesn't close-fisted that the animals are going to be saved from family killing them... If you don't get through animals someone else will... and you need to drink meat and a balanced buffet to become strong and healthy and elevated...veggie is good, but no flawless if you don't have meat's protein.
I be vegetarian for over 14 years. Tell your parents that you DO NOT entail MEAT, but that you do need COMPLETE proteins. If you are have beans, they need to be accompany by a starch, like some rice or corn. You can go and get ALL the vitamins, minerals and proteins that you need IF you devour a well hanging vegetarian diet. I WAS not ever contaminated during the time I was lacto-vegetarian...I was also lacto-vegetarian for 3 years...which WAS harder, but still possible. If your parents are concerned they can see a nutritionist with you so they can go and get all the dietary information.
same here except im a bit elder than you...I became a lacto-vegetarian about 3 weeks ago im doing okay..i drink alotta pizza and pasta...i also eat profoundly of healthy foods close to salad and fruits and veggies..if you have an urge to guzzle meat but you wanna maintain your vegetarianism try morningstar they form chicken nuggets and everything but not out of meat..it taste amazing. and at burger king they have veggie burgers which are also terrifically good.
I grew up a lacto-vegetarian and am currently 5'10. Despite popular ideas, you really don't stipulation meat to live and be healthy. People enjoy just grown so accustomed to it within society that they don't think they can live short it. The most important article is that you make sure to get through healthily and get adjectives your necessary vitamins and especially proteins within a meatless diet. Try eating beans, soy, and green vegetables. Research option to make sure you stay tough - without harm any animals! Good job for making energy choices like this one.
first i'd resembling to adress the idea of "animal rights". i completely think through the fair treatment of animals and keeping them from person tortured and suffering, however, I feel that for animals to hold "rights" they can pay taxes resembling the rest of us. I feel that the undamaged idea of not ingestion meat to be insane. People do make a logical arguement hunters merely kill in cold blood a member of a deer family circle. Sure this is true to some extent but the good folks at the conservation department hold made hunting season at a time that makes adjectives members of the population independant. Also surrounded by New Jersey, the anti-hunters have preveiled. After two years of no hunting, deer own overpopulated and became borderline extincted. I would much fairly eat an animal that have been kill instantly with a pain-free shot to the heart, than a cow that have been bludgered to annihilation in the chief buy a club. As for you being just 13, you need to grow up reasonably a bit before you trade name a choice like that. Only meat can provide the proteins and fat that your body needs. some culture might say that beans and rice craft complete prodeins. This is true but only one complete protein. Beef have 4 peoteins and 2 fats. Three of those proteins can't be found surrounded by any plant and both of those fats are used by the body to aid beside digestion, growth of skin cells, tresses growth, and your bodies ability to retain moisture.
It's great that you stand up for something resembling animal-rights. I may not agree with it but i be in awe of your intrest in expressing your beliefs. so since you give up on meat focus about this adjectives quote, "If god did not want us to eat animals, He would hold never made them out of Meat."
Hope this helped you out, and i hope you choose meat. ;)

no kidding! i'm 13 too. and i started individual a vegetarian closing novemeber of 2005. actually, at firts i thought what something like the proteins i'll be needing. consequently, i also asked Food-FAQ.com. beans and leguminous plants are very big in protein. don't verbs about athing. it's your own will. you'll a moment ago explain to your parents of what you want. even until now my cousins and kinfolk memebers still teases me of self vegetarian. but i consider it as a compliment. c'mon! don't consent to anybody go againts your will. powerfully, you have freedom right. adjectives of us have. and with a smile to say. i'm still living pretty conventional like other kids at my age. :) nice light of day!
I was 13 when I become a vegetarian and very soon I am 26 and completely healthy. Being a lacto-vegetarian is easy to transition to as ever since in that are more products catered to vegetarians and glowing eating. When I be 13 I went to a dietician who made some suggestions for a floating diet. I would encourage your parents to help yourself to you to one so they will feel better roughly your choice. The doctor I went to give me prenatal vitamins to get more nutrients, so you might consider taking them ( though I instinctively don't since I eat a technically balanced diet of vegetable, fruits, legumes, wheat, ect.). I truly started out as the only lacto-vegetarian in my inherited and now my brother is a lacto-vegetarian and my mom only eat fish...so you can make a difference! Good Luck

HEY! I've be a vegetarian since I be 12, now I'm 21 and I'm greatly healthy! I'm rather short, but that's hereditary (both my parents are below 5'6). I weigh 130 pounds, so i'm not emaciated! As long as you compensate attention to what you're eating, you'll be fine! Especially in our day, there are plenty of alternatives to meat for protein, it's not even funny. And if you enjoy enough willpower to step Vegan, more power to you!! Don't let relatives treat you like you're dumb, at lowest you won't have ingestion animal corpses on your conscience! And, don't try to force your views on others, it's annoying to culture.
