I refuse to sign, on the grounds I don't disagree beside it.
- The image of clubbing seal may be barbaric in your feelings, but the clubs they use are very obedient at dispaching the pups quickly and, if done properly, it's not a scratchy death at adjectives, and is as humane as any other method of killing.
- It make a lot of money for the family who carry out the hunts, the money they return with from selling the pelts and meat amounts to tens of millions of pounds.
- There are quotas on how oodles can be killed, and it also serves the purpose of a cull, keeping the numbers down, while not wounding the population.
The only point I can see people disagreeing near it is the old 'ow, but bloodbath is eeeeevil and they're soooo cute'* sort of stuff, and frankly that doesn't hold any water whatsoever.
* They may right to be heard other things to support themselves, but that's the only principle that will get relatives to think it wrong, IMO.

Hunting methods were studied by the Royal Commission on Seals and Sealing contained by Canada and it found that the clubbing of seals, when properly perform, is at least as humane as, and habitually more humane than, the killing methods used contained by commercial slaughterhouses, which are accepted by the majority of the public.
A 2002 report published surrounded by the Canadian Veterinary Journal found that the club or hakapik is an efficient tool designed to slay the animal quickly and humanely.
Sealers within the Magdalen Islands (Gulf of St. Lawrence) and on Quebec's Lower North Shore, where give or take a few 25% of the hunt occurs, use both rifles and hakapiks while sealers on the rime floes on the Front (in the waters east of Newfoundland), where 75% of the hunt occur, primarily use rifles.
The seal hunt is a sustainable, humane and economically viable approach of life. People call for to educate themselves just about the realities of the hunt instead of taking the word of know-nothings approaching Paul McCartney and Pam Anderson as gospel.
