Morrissey is a vegetarian and have been since he be 11 years old. Morrissey explained his vegetarianism by clich¨¦ "If you love animals, obviously it doesn't form sense to hurt them." Morrissey is an advocate for animal rights and a supporter of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). Morrissey used to wear leather, stating contained by 1986 that "there is simply no sensible alternative" to leather shoes. I do think that no other artist contained by music is responsible for turning more people into vegetarian or vegans than Morrissey.

I have an idea that "goethe" is wrong, to me Chrissie Hynde has done more to further the lacto-vegetarian cause than morrissey
