What is textured vegetable protein (TVP) and where on earth do I buy it?




Answers:
TVP is a filler used in lacto-vegetarian diets (it has a meat texture). It doesn't really enjoy a taste, but it take on the taste of the seasoning that you put near it. You can buy it in strength food stores or in the life food section of your grocery store.

To add on to the above answer it is a dried product usually sold in plastic stacks - just to back you find it. If you are new to man a vegetarian this is a classic meat subsitute but in that are better ones that can be found in the frozen food screened-off area of most grocery stores now.
