Some lacto-vegetarian robustness concerns?

I've been lacto-vegetarian for half a year immediately. I eat a LOT of tofu, greatly of tofurky, ficken, you know the whole pseudo-meat lacto-vegetarian diet. I occasionally eat eggs and fish as okay (family fears, not personal choice). This week, my hair started to decline out. I heard plentifully of urban legends about 12-year vegetarian that started losing their hair. Do you reflect my lack of protein contributed to this?

I'm purely shedding, you know? I'll run my fingers through my hair .. and I'll lose two or three strands? It's so fearsome, and I don't know what to do?

Answer:
Just take omega3 supplements. Either that or cod liver grease supplements. That's what I do (or at least what my parents brand name me do) The hair shedding point has happen to me, but it is not a horribly big deal. Just cart vitamins and u should be ok soon.

also, just because u are lacto-vegetarian doesn't mean u can't drink eggs or fish or dairy products. Only vegans can't do that.

There are:

fishatarians--eat fish products

lacto-ovo vegetarians--eat eggs & dairy producty

chickenatarians--chicken

There are also some vegetarians:

Who solitary eat white meat (that is. . .they don't chomp through any beef, etc.)

This way, they don't own to live strictly on a tofu-related diet.
get hold of a balanced diet.
maybe you be HIV or enjoy Aids. Hair loss is possible when the white blood cells are reduced as within chemo of cancer.
Supliment your diet next to vitamins and extra protein from nuts and cheese.
dude you are too childish to be vegetarian and your ody obligation aniaml protein... start eating collect and get pay for to the bvegetarian truk after bieng fully grown
A need of protein could be a serious effect of being a lacto-vegetarian. How often do you respectively fruit and beans? While it sounds like you're ingestion a lot of what you're supposed to, you didn't mention any fruit or beans, a HUGE supplier of protein.

I would commander to the doctor for a true evaluation. If it's going to start compromising your health, it may be time to devour SOME meat other than lately fish.
I be vegetarian for six years, and my heartiness level be very low. Now that I am posterior on meat, I feel much well again. I think that it is thoroughly difficult to get adjectives of the proper nutrients on a vegetarian diet. I don't know if the absence of protein is the culprit for your "shedding", but I would suspect that your diet is a factor.
It may be your diet so you you could try a protein supplement. They enjoy 'Hair, Skin and Nails' capsules to serve strengthen those. It could be other things like stress and fatigue though. Xmas can really pinch it out of you even if you don't realise so try to take it uncomplicated for a few days.
mmm you might not own a good shampoo? ITsnt spike just unmoving skin anyways? But I bet it is the lack of nutrition, sleep, or increased stress. IT doesnt denote that being a veggi is unpromising for you but your probably not making up for your meat with enought nuts or doesn`t matter what your sopposed to eat. I dont dream up tofu gives you that. (just a guess though)
Sounds like your getting satisfactory protein to me....I'm a vegeratrian too (almost up on 12 years). I did a nutrional anaylsyst of myself...
it actually appears that I own too much of an intake of protein by eating lacto-vegetarian soy meats.....

But the apology why you could be losing your hair is your hormones...why do you judge more men go lacking hair than women? it's because men have more testorsterone and testosterone cause hair loss.....
I would make an appointment and discuss this next to your doctor, it could be anything, not because you're a vegetarian.
i don't think your shedding .i cogitate that your hair is weaker do to insufficiency of protein.you can buy shampoos for it. i think you can buy fiber beside protein in it that you can put within food. hope everything works out
That sounds common.
And if you are eating that much tofu consequently you shouldn't be lacking any protein.
How can you think your protein intake is low near all those falsification meats? Fake meat contain more protein than meat! You're probably not eating plenty fruits or veggies, and/or too much fake meat and sodium.
Sounds close to you are getting enough protein. Are you consumption enough veggies? Also, losing a few strands of tresses is completely normal. Everyone loses some strands of fleece each morning.
devour peanut butter, nuts, dried fruit and talk to ur parents give or take a few the hair loss.
well loosing your fleece and shedding is natural as long as it isn't excessisve but that started occurring to me . you might want to talk to a doctor and conceivably start taking vitamins, i take centrum everyday, a short time ago make sure your ingestion plenty of protien like peanut butter cheese if your not a lacto-vegetarian. you could pssibly be anemic which is when you don't have plenty iron in your body which you procure iron from eating meat. if your loosing curls, have a whitish tint to your tounge, hold thin nail that break really easily these could adjectives be signs of anemia so talk to a nutritionists because specifically how you get thin bones and have a restricted amount of energy and other condition problems start to happen
Hair loss can be caused by a insufficiency of B12, a vitamin that can only be obtain from animal foods or supplements; no plant foods are a reliable source, unless fortified of course.
60% of vegans (and pretty a few vegetarians) are estimated to have some sort of lesser amount, due to not having adequate animal products or supplements in the diet. This can do hair loss sometimes, among other things similar to anaemia.
Sounds fine and average. But if you still want to add more protein to your diet chomp through sprouts, beans, lentils, nuts, dried fruits, soy bean, cheese. You can even try protein shakes (no gelatin).
A lacto-vegetarian Diet is perfectly vigorous as long as it's balanced.

You return with a lot of protein from meat replacements (Quorn be developed as a high protein food, not a lacto-vegetarian food) but do you get satisfactory iron and calcium?

Try eating more spinach, cereal, lentils, apricots etc
