10 year frail lacto-vegetarian?

I regularly prepare meals for my meat-eating home although I no longer eat meat. Now my 10 year aged nephew has granted that he wants to become a veggie and we're concerned roughly speaking him getting adequate nutrients for his growing body. He take kid's vitamins and isn't a fan of soy or seitan products. How do I produce sure he gets the complete protein he requests?

If you can preserve him from doing this just all the same..My daughter became a Vegetarian at age 12! I thought I be watching her diet quite closely and on the other hand she developed a health problem. I won't jump into details, but we ended up beside alot of doctors visits, and her drinking Ensure 3 times a afternoon just to draw from things back to usual! We were lucky..My daughter today remains a Vegetarian, she raise her 3 daughters as regular eaters...As she says, when they find about 16 they can choose which is right for them. Try and stop your nephew for a few years at lowest possible!
The complete protein thing is a falicy in actuality. Protein comes from just in the order of everything. Good sources include Nuts, whole grain, beans etc. A whole wheat bagel have upto 10 grams all by itself. Check out the lacto-vegetarian food pyramid online. Humans do not need meat to survive tolerate alone to be healthy.
If you no longer munch through meat, simply serve your nephew the same things you guzzle. Does your nephew live with you? If so, you shouldn't enjoy any problem, but if he lives with his own parents nearby really isn't much you can do or say. You might invest a few dollars within a great vegetarian cook-book for him and his parents.
FACT: most Americans put away much more protien than the body needs. Protien can come surrounded by many forms, not a short time ago meat, dairy and soy. Legumes and nuts are great sources or protiens and truly...much better for health. With so masses tasty recipe and a little creativity, within should be no problem.
I think I would be more concerned give or take a few him eating "junk" that adjectives out meat.

Get a good book approaching BECOMING VEGETARIAN (or BECOMING VEGAN which is even better) to help dispel some of the myths more or less meat eating. Everyone believes the hype that meat is part of the pack of a healthy diet when it really is not. Meat is a convenient course to get some proteins and vitamins, but it's not the healthiest by a long shot. All fruits and vegetables contain protein. It's the lacto-vegetarian that relies on packaged food, sugary crap, and a unvarying diet that own health problems . Those problems walk away when one eats a choice of fresh fruits and veggies and plenty of grains. I second the vegatarian/vegan pyramid as a guide (when I go veggie I covered a list of respectively food group with a bubble for respectively recommended serving with clear cartridge and used a dry erase marker to easy target off the different foods during the hours of daylight so I would know where I be lacking. Grains be my problem area and I wouldn't enjoy guessed it until I looked at my numbers. It was a HUGE help out!), but you really should get a well brought-up book to help you appreciate more about what our bodies inevitability and the foods where we can find those. After adjectives, cows get THEIR protein from grasses and grain. Why not cut out the middle man?
i was born vegitarian and i put away dahl. Dahl is a good source of proteins bar meat.
Cats should always get through meat . They are carnivores by nature and could shift blind without the taurine protein contained by meat.
Most people acquire way too much protein anyways. Just furnish him well perched meals and offer him loads of confidence. I'm not a big fan of soy milk, but I love it on my cereal and surrounded by my chocolate milk. Maybe he will too.
