I am a vegetarian and I constantly hear in the order of people individual veggie or vegan a short time ago because they hear its a hot thing surrounded by hollywood. My brother lives in LA and other tells me that he know a load of vegetarian that do it because its a trend but they always cheat and drink meat or they cant follow through with it. Sometimes when I speak about people I'm a lacto-vegetarian, they look at me as a follower because it seems approaching a trend, when I'm actually doing it to be a trendsetter and I have to be drastically headstrong and brush stale all the insults I bring for being lacto-vegetarian. Anyone else feel like peas in a pod way?
Answer:
Being veggie is *not* a trend...
Claiming to be veggie *IS* a trend.
its a pathetic anti-american trend.. stupid. sheep never get through meat..
No, nation in the Eastern world own been doing that for centuries previously us westerners.
If its for form reasons, Id say aloud its probably a trend but for those of us who are vegetarians because of animal concerns, I wouldnt influence thats not a trend, at least not for me. People will probably other insult our way but the truth is be are proven to be healthier and live longer, in good health lives. Of course we have to bring back our protein and thats easy if we get through our veggie meats and beans (fish and eggs for those who devour that). veggie meats are high in protein than indisputable meat and have no or extraordinarily little fat and no cholesterol and soaring in other vitamins. When a meat eater get heart disease or high cholesterol, the first theing their doctor say is to lose the red meat.
If animals were "put here to be eaten", why the heck would the be made near a heart and brain, why not be another brainless plant with a different texture?
I guess the phrase "thou shalt not kill" is another pick and choose moral imperative.
Im not religous, its just a point.
I think it have become a trend as you called it. A lot of babyish teens do it because "punks are vegan". Which is a load of poo.
Or other such label.
What worries me is these teens just cut out meat and devise that's it. Reality is as you know you have to substatute other foods to put together up for the protein you're not getting from meats.
no,it is a choice.
I 65 years dated and have be Vegetarian for as long as I could remember. I do not care whtat empire think of me when I mentiond the possession Vegetarian and do not get insulted whatsoever. It is my own body and want to nick care of it as long as I live. Thanks God I am unbelievably healthy and enjoy not seen a doctor for any thoughtful of sickness nor I take any medecine. So my friend join up the club and enjoy your lacto-vegetarian meals.

ROBOTS ... always follow the "trends"
no event what they may be .... it's no different than the clothing, hairstyles, and other trends ..... they come and go
basically stay true to what you do
you see surrounded by hollywood most celebrities become vegetarian/vegan because they want to be skinny! Vegetarianism is not a trend its purely how you feel i guess
It is trendy at the moment, but as long as you are doing it for the right reasons not only so you can say you are lacto-vegetarian and to be different, but as a approach of life to avocate against animal cruellty afterwards good for you. It's the family who call themselves vegetarian that eat seafood and poultry that bug me, I chomp through poultry and seafood and I understand I am not a lacto-vegetarian, and I am not about to come up next to some new label for a nonexistant category of vegetarianism just so I can be trendy! Ahhh, anyways upright for you for being an supporter for animal rights, and try not to let the trendy frauds that ring up themselves vegetarians that sneek bites of steak, or a chicken wing affect your pride within what you are doing. One day I might fashion that last leap towards individual a vegetarian but it won't be for some trend, it will be for the animals, and for my personal strength and life choice.
It need not be a trend-to be a lacto-vegetarian, teetotaler-non-smoker-non-drug addict-non-indulgent in unhygenic sex-all one does contained by the interest of one's own health. If somebody cheats they are cheating themselves. In Asian countries the roll enumerated above were part of a set of Religious Practices-like Hinduism-Buddhism-Jainism etc. There also the main thrust be any thing bad for you for body, mind is a sin against the Soul--so majority followed for religious reasons. Now the Scientists are recitation the red meat triggers Cardio/Cerebro vascular accidents-Vegetables/Herbs rich in roughage prevents colon cancer-"free radicals' in vegetables prevent Heart attacks/Srokes etc.Veg Salads does exactly converse of what the red meat does- that is cut VLDL/LDL and Increase HDL-the socalled "bad" and "good" cholesterol.Whatever many Asians followed forcenturies for religious reason ,now the Scientists voice are good.Where does the query of trend arises?
For some ancestors it is a trend, for some people it is a lifestyle. People who are doing it simply to lose weight and populace who are veg because they think it is 'cool' and 'original' follow it similar to a trend. But people who are doing it for animals and want to raise their overall health forever, not purely lose weight, follow a lacto-vegetarian lifestyle.
But, no matter what the pretext for being veg, or how long you intend to be veg, I guess it's better than not person a vegetarian at adjectives, even if you are only veg for short interval of time. Still, I wish more family who went veg stuck near it.
Well, just my view. I hope I made sense, because sometimes I just type anything comes to my head next to no editing whatsoever, and it turns out as gibberish.
I don't reflect on being a lacto-vegetarian is a trend, the people who do it to be cool are the ones who can't stick next to it.(ie Fish/chicken eating vegetarians).
I like meat
yea but i do it beacause i like it
For some people, yes, it is a trend. Currently vegetarianism is somewhat popular, even if those individuals are really only just in it for the sticky label and still eat fish, chicken, etc.
I'm not going to spend foolishly my time arguing with those society, because honestly, there is no point. Besides, anything reduction contained by meat consumption is occuring is good for the environment.
For me, it is a lifestyle. When I originally become vegetarian, my household treated it as a passing phase. After over two years as a lacto-vegetarian, at Thanksgiving, many citizens expressed their surprise that I "was still doing that" because their experiences next to it were near the trend and not actual vegetarianism. Vegetarianism on a whole have been around since ancient times, so within itself it is not a trend, however, I would say that lately it have been delivery quite a bit of spotlight.
idk i just started human being a vegetarian and don't know anyone else instinctively who is one
In some small cases it may be, but it's be around for a long time. In India with over 1 billion relatives, around 200-400 million or so are vegetarian. So they may enjoy more vegetarians than the intact population of the US. Hinduism has be practiced before Christ, so they've have a long history of it.
I've read some of the celebrities utter they do it because they believe in it or they want to be more hearty, some might just do it to follow other population, but so what. In LA almost everything can be a trend. In the end everyone does it for their own reason.
Its not a trend for me. I haven't eat meat since I was approaching 9. But yes, I think it's trendy today, but who cares? Just stay true to yourself and everything will be ok.
Even if it were a trend(which it is not), it would be a good trend.
(BTW- I do not take issue too much beside people claiming to be lacto-vegetarian or partial vegetarian..if they are putting information and thinking out there, after they are influencing others to be vegetarian.Becoming lacto-vegetarian or vegan is a process sometimes and behaviour built from childhood are difficult to break and sometimes take time.)
Here are SOME interesting form facts:
I have read where on earth a monsanto hormone rGbh given to cows to increase milk production. rBGH milk is supercharged with glorious levels of inexplicably potent IGF-1(insulin-like growth factor-1), up 10 times the levels within natural milk and over 10 times more potent. IGF-1 resists pasteurization, digestion by stomach enzymes, and is ably absorbed across the intestinal wall. Increased level of IGF-1 in blood is allied to breast, prostate and colon cancer. rGbh milk does not have to be labeled as such.

Also osteoporosis is higher contained by milk drinking countries, because evidently the calcium in milk is not functional in that good opinion, due to increased protein that leaches calcium from bones and low magnesium in milk that lowers digestion of calcium)..
