How should I open a vegitarian diet?

What would be the first step in shifting to a vegetarian (sp?) diet? What foods should I buy more and how should I prepare them?

Check out some websites on proper veg nutrition. Contrary to what FC say, humans are herbivores. Not omnivores. This is a biological fact. We are herbivores who enjoy learned to guzzle meat. That's why colon and prostate cancer is so prevalent.

Get some good veg cook books. Know that within are two kinds of veg. Healthy veg and convenience veg. Healthy vegetarian will cook from scratch. Convenience vegetarian rely on packaged processed veggie food-stuffs. Which is primarily still SAD (Standard American Diet)

Start slowly. Just cut back on the meat you get through. Keep a diary of how you feel. Two or three times a week engender a vegetarian buffet.

Don't beat yourself up if you dive off the articulated vehicle. Find a support system. Friends who are sympathetic to your decision. Friends who will stir to veg diners with you. (see the veg dining website for places adjectives over!!)
I'd start by no longer consumption meat and take it from within
well brought-up question- I think that you should buy a greater supply of fruits and vegetables, as very well as grain products (rice, cereal, pasta, etc.) In combination, you must determine how you would like to supplement your protein intake since you are no longer consumption meat...good sources include peanut butter, tofu, beans (kidney, black)....it also never hurts to lug a multivitamin in satchel you happen to miss some knob ingredients...enjoy!
I am a vegitarian, and have be for quite a while presently. But what i did was i started to get through alot of salads, and stirfry's(things that still taste right without meat) and afterwards i started to eat tofu, and fix meat, like hamburgers made out of soy. You can just about taste the difference.
Start with some research. Find some books on vegitarian diets, combination foods, (to complete a WHOLE protien you will obligation to eat absolute foods at tne same time, ie beans rice and greens.) There is nothing wrong near a vegi diet but don't do what some do and think that adjectives you have to do is devour salad and greens.
Humans are omnivores and we do need complete protiens for brain function.
Go up to a cow and punch it in the facade. When it tramples you will not want to eat meat anymore.

I would start next to a HUGE surf & turf meal. That mode when you are eating soft veggies the rest of your life - you will know what you are missing.

Don't do it maan! I know frequent people who hold and they actually get really weak and sickly. Sure put away more veggies but you need meat. Just stay away from the snacky food and bread.
