I know I can go on websites, but what are some personal recipe? Ones that you guys will make and put away. I'd like to know, because I'm not too penetrating on tofu and what not. I'm just trying to become a lacto-vegetarian. I still eat chicken and fish, but I want to impart that up eventually...however, I really love Chinese food....so I'm trying some tofu, to see if I can get equal Chinese flavor, but no meat.

Oriental Stir Fry
Ingredients
marinated tofu pieces
bean sprouts
bamboo shoots
brown onion
mini corn on the cob
spring onions
red pepper
1 clove garlic (finely chopped)
vegetable oil
soy sauce
noodles
If you cannot buy tofu that is to say already marinated then cut plain or smoked tofu into small chunks and marinate overnight within soy sauce.
Cut the vegetables into strips, removing the stalk and seeds of the pepper and the skin of the onion.
Warm a few tablespoons of oil surrounded by a wok or large frying container. Add all of the vegetables at once and benignly toss in the hot container until they start to colour.
Then add the tofu and verbs to toss the mixture for 5 minutes until the tofu is piping hot. Serve immediately next to noodles.
Deep fried tofu kick's any meat's ***.
i have chocolate tofu pie contained by the fridge right now!! give somebody a lift i package firm silken tofu and put it surrounded by the food processor or blender and go til smooth. liquefy 1 twelve oz. pack of choco chips and stir the 2 together. add splash of vanilla extract. beat 2 egg whites and fold into the mixture benevolently. put into your favorite pie crust and chill til firm, about 2 hours. wallow in! most meat eaters will eat this lacking knowing that it is tofu. if you have an imperviousness problem, used pastuerized egg whites to avoid any health issues
Vegeterian BBQ-Tofu Sandwich
Buy extra firm Tofu, Slice into Cubes and let drain printed towel
Heat oil within skillet and sautee tofu (I like my firm and hard)
Let the cooked tofu drain excess grease on a paper towel
Mix 1/2 bottle b-b-que sauce and spices together (ex: onion powder, garlic powder). Toss cooked tofu into b-b-que sauce
Cut pita pocket contained by half. Open the pita pocket and make a payment a small amount of alfafa sprouts and shreeded carrots. Spoon surrounded by b-b-que tofu. Add additional sprouts/shredded carrot. Then add honey/dijion mustard salad dressing or fruit farm dressing. If youre
vegan append nasoya ranch dressing or anytime of lacto-vegetarian ranch/mustard salad dressing
I do several different things. My guy is not a lacto-vegetarian but he still enjoys them.
1) Scrambled tofu - using a environment tofu I scramble it like eggs and benevolently saute in a vessel with some butter (optional) and S & P, my fav herb (basil, thyme)
2) BBQ Tofu - Coat an entire log of tofu in your fav BBQ sauce and overheat for 20 min. at 350. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 20 min. then slice across the corners creating chicken similar to slices. Recoat slices and rebake under broiler for 10-15 mins. Serve cooled resting on salad OR in a sandwich.
3) Tofu Stirfry - Saute onions ,pepper, garlic within canola oil until tender. Remove from jar saving adjectives fat and drippings within pan. Cube one pkg of tofu and place surrounded by pan near drippings adding s&p and more garlic or ginger as desired. Saute for 5 min until insubstantially golden. Remove from pan and verbs adding vegetables and cooking till you enjoy a stir fry then put adjectives ingredients back surrounded by the pan beside a small bottle of sesame ginger sauce.
4) Tofu stew - saute cubed tofu with pepper strips, onions, garlic,ginger and coconut milk. When veggies are cooked supply some coriander, s & p, curry powder, Thicken if desired with cornstarch mixed near water. Serve over rice.

Ingredients:
1 block of tofu, extra-firm
your favorite BBQ sauce (Jack Daniels is the best!)
2 atmosphere onions
any other sandwich fixings
Directions:
1) On the day formerly you want to eat your BBQ, put the tofu contained by the freezer. I find by freezing the tofu, it has a more meaty texture. On the subsequent day, soften tofu and squeeze out all the river.

5) Uncover and scorch for 25 more minutes. Let cool.
6) Saute onions. When tofu has cooled, chomp through as a sandwich with lettuce tomatoes.
