If you live where you can maintain them, get three or four hens (no roosters, don't want to find little "surprises" surrounded by your eggs) for eggs. They aren't hard at adjectives to care for and raise hens is a great hobby. You could also find local farms who produce eggs and milk. Don't discount soymilk any...it's a tasty and exceptionally healthy alternative, three times the omega 3s of milk and no cholesterol.
Good for you! I know how tough it is to be around meat eaters in indistinguishable house! Check to see if you have a local food co op where on earth you can purchase eggs from content hens, and milk from happy cows. Also see if you enjoy a local dairy farm that sell milk products. For cheese, I make it homemade from the fresh untouched milk, but Cabot brand uses quality milk and lacto-vegetarian rennet. Hope this helps, and kudos to you. (by the method, dont just assume you dont hold a co op-I lived in my tiny town for 20+ years and didnt even know in attendance was one going on for a mile from my house-check with a local robustness food store.
umm peta might have some information nearly that. free range eggs are most of the time cruelty free, im not sure roughly speaking dairy, i think in that is something like frre collection milk.
