If vegetarian dont close to meat?

Then why do you have meat substitutes approaching Soya and Quorn.
Its true what they say you know. You can't substitute the existing thing.

Answers:
Mainly for protein intake. But isn't itso great when you obtain a nice juicy steak stale the grill and throw it onto a plate?
They even have meat free ham for sandwich. Hypercritical or what?
Maybe "don't like meat" isn't the singular reason.

Go work surrounded by a Kosher slaughterhouse for a summer, then come rear legs and ask the question again.
No you can't but some of nutrients are also available from substitutes.
yeah and what roughly speaking vegetable rights. they don't eat meat cos they don't close to the killing of animals. But vegetables enjoy rights to grow in the ground.
The article with meat is not so much the weakness it is the texture and Quorn and Soya do have a different texture and even fancy overall. The texture is denser than vegetables and therefore gvies you a sense of fullfilment that I don`t know a carrot wouldnt and quorn alone doesnt actually essence of anything at all...the concept is to add spices and other veges to product sure the meal taste good. Quorn chilli is fantastic. Also quorn is much improved substitute for meat eaters.
I think it's a bit dumb. I'm unequivocally a carnivore - I love a nice big juicy piece of meat!
sorry - i disagree.

i enjoy never liked the texture of meat - even as a little one. i find that the texture of soya and quorn based meat substitutes are abundantly easier for me to cope with. no gristly bits or stray bits of bone.

u may not realize, but that's because u don't have a problem near the taste or texture of meat. i don't believe to be your eating conduct, so please don't judge mine !
It's because some of us don't close to the process that meat production involves (steroids, hormones etc) and the cruelty involved. Soya and quorn are good sources of protein for us.
If you can't substitute the TRUE thing why do Ann Summers trade so many vibrators.
Not adjectives vegetarians don't similar to meat. Some make the choice to not munch through it, because they don't agree morally with bloodbath animals. And not all vegetarian eat those substitutes because they fondness like meat, but because they savour the soya or quorn as it is... although most veggies I know don't like the 'fake' meat and don't buy it.
Some vegetarian don't like meat.

Other do, but don't similar to the idea of bloodshed and eating animals. So they use the meat substitutes.

It sure ain't the genuine thing, but they can devour it with a clear -ish conscience.
I've not get much time for veggies, I think it's hugely egotistical to adopt a gimmicky, unnatural diet within a world where so plentiful don't have any choice at adjectives in what they put away. But I quite close to quorn and it's very flexible. But the problem with soya is that it is particularly environmentally unfriendly - closely of rain forest and organic habitat is being destroyed for soya production.
Who said Vegetarians don't get through meat because they don't like the aroma?
the majority of vegetarians aren't vegetarian simply because of the way the food taste.
They like sausages, but don't approaching the crap that goes into it.
They similar to turkey, but don't like they passageway they're farmed and next killed for christmas
They may approaching beef and onion pies, but don't like the thought of drinking cows.
Soya & Quorn are helping them maintain a life span in which they can devour quite ordinarily but short any animal products being harmed contained by the process of their foods.
Some vegetarians hold an ethical problem with ingestion meat "If it has a obverse I won't eat it" as a result the hypothesis of eating soya meat is a not starter as it still reminds them of meat.
Why are meat eaters so paranoid with Vegetarians?
you resembling to eat something that have suffered & died. others posses a conscience.
Most vegetarians and vegans didnt quit consumption meat because they dislike the taste, but because they dislike the certainty that a living being have to be tortured and slaughtered for a meal. Alo because meat make you sick!
Soy is a compassionate and tasty replacement for meat, it is NOT meat. Doesnt issue how you prepare it and what you call it, soy is NOT meat. I dont even clear a connection between meat and lacto-vegetarian frozen burgers.. Meat is dead flesh, and soy products are plant protein- So surrounded by what way is it wrong?

"You can't substitute the authentic thing."

Soy beans are freshly as "real" as meat. I'm not dreaming it. Its really here. Unless you mean " valid flesh". In that case you are right, lacto-vegetarian substitutes are not real flesh. Which is the point beside vegan food.
Their adjectives weird - If we be not supposed to eat animals consequently why are they made of meat?
I dont like meat motivation its disgusting to me. I vomit easly, if I bite into chicken cartilage.

if anyone would saw what they put into meat, no one would get through that. they put chicken legs and heads contained by a blender - thats your hot dogs.

and the worst meat is when animal was suffering in the past killed. that brand of meat isnt healthy for human.
I deem quorn and soya taste better than meat I choose to become lacto-vegetarian because I don't like cruelty to animals.

As a lacto-vegetarian I have to put away more chocolate as it has iron surrounded by it which I don't get from meat and chocolate is a great (and tasty) substitute

Smiles
I of late have to join: Humans are made of meat too!!

I wonder: would we all still enjoy the same feelings if another, more intelligent species suddenly appeared and started factory farming and ingestion us, based on one and the same justification we use to devour animals...?
Because,it's not meat!
because we need the nurtrients and most of it doesnt predilection anything like the material thing
in attendance are many reason why people choose to become a lacto-vegetarian. could be political, religious, health reason, etc etc etc
Others like me, antipathy the taste of meat and wouldn't touch a meat substitute that taste like meat beside 10 foot pole!
a lot of vegetarian r vegi coz dey dont like the thought, or they believe its cruel, or they can't stomach the texture etc. not jus they dont like meat! i used 2 luv meat, i am vegi immediately, i have be 4 3 years. i cant stand the thouht of eating somethink that used to be alive! as it happen i dont like quorn, and i hold to have some soya stuff similar to soya milk as it is healthier and i am slightly allergic 2 milk! lol!
The use meat substitutes to achieve protein.
It's just more miscellany of protein rich foods from non-animal sources. Nothing wrong with that - nation want to eat it because for so oodles reasons they don't want to guzzle meat so it's just made for population who want to eat a greater collection of food not made out of meat.

The Chinese have be making 'meat-substitutes' from gluten and soy protein for hundreds, maybe thousands, of years. It's nought new. Some associates might call these products 'meat substitutes' - most who devour them just bid them FOOD, simple as that.

Soya is not a meat-substitute - it's just a plentiful and fully clad protein rich food in its own right and you can brand name lots of different products out of it just as you can engineer lots of different products out of meat.

So, you can substitute the 'real thing' if you want to... just because you CAN if you WANT TO.
Well I don't chomp through meat because I don't like the aroma or texture of it - Other people choose to give the name me vegetarian. I also do not similar to meat substitutes, because to me they look and taste resembling meat.
My sister doesn't call herself a lacto-vegetarian, she just doesn't resembling meat, like I don't resembling green beans.
There is so much crap put into meat these days. I never like red meat and only ever ate chicken and fish from a infantile age and now due to medical reason i cant eat any meat at adjectives because it makes me so sick.

I presume Quorn is great. I can make great dishes that adjectives the family can wallow in. If i have friends over for dinner at lowest possible i have something on my plate that resembles what they are ingestion. So at least i'm not sitting here while they are all enjoy a roast looking at the brown goo on my plate.
When meat substitutes were first introduced onto the marketplace over 100 years ago in the west, they be made so that people who be changing over to a lacto-vegetarian diet, could get ample protein, as other protein foods such as nuts, were particularly expensive & not readily available. Today, meat substitutes are easier to prepare & exceptionally versatile contained by a busy world. What is the problem with it? I individually use legumes & nuts for protein which is a far superior form of protein than that from animals. To a vegetarian, intake an animal is akin to cannibalism. Sorry devout meat eaters, but that's the bottom line, apart from the reality that the vegetarian diet is by far a much in good health diet than meat. As for saying that growing soy is smaller number environmentally friendly than meat-eating. The fact is that it take much less domain to feed the population near plant foods than it does to raise animals to nurture the population. More people can be feed per acre on plant foods than with animal foods. One cow per acre = thousands of plants per acre feed many more populace than one cow! Hmmm?
