Im a vegetarian for 10 years and plan on becoming pregnant in the next 2 years or so.
Ive hear that there are lasting supplements that vegetarian women necessitate to take and consistent precautions we need beforehand and during the pregnancy?
Any experienced vegetarian moms out here?
No comments on my diet please, some bore on Answers isnt going to make me get through meat again, so dont worry something like trying.

All expecting mothers need to bring prenatal supplements, so it is not so much a veg thing if to be precise what you were conversation about. If we adjectives ate a perfectly perched diet (vegetarians and omnivores alike) we wouldn't, but most people simply don't own it in them to devour in such a approach.

I've have 3 kids, two of which are twins. I didn't have to do anything special, except brand sure my iron consumption was alright. That isn't one and only for veggies either, because I know someone who is not a veggie, who was pregnant at alike time as I was, and she have a hard time beside her iron. I really made sure I took my prenatals and iron when I nursed my twins though. Nursing takes more out of you than pregnancy. hth
Make sure you chomp through lots of leafy greens!
As long as you have knowledgeable yourself quite okay in deep-seated nutrition, and balancing proteins to win all nesseccary forms, your pregnancy should be fine. A mundane vegetarian diet is already rich within almost all of the key nutritants for a successful pregnancy. Aside from making sure you get adequate protein, and taking a prenatal vitamin (which you should start taking BEFORE you try to get pregnant, throughout your gestation, and while nursing), you should be a moment ago fine.
attached is a helpful relation on Vegetarians and pregnancy, it is not necessary to chomp through meat to have a in good health pregnancy.

There's not really much of a difference. You pretty much take like prenatal vitamins and such. Talk to your doctor about what you should be doing. My aunt is lacto-vegetarian and she has five hygienic vegetarian kids.
Make sure you obtain folic acid, minus it there could be birth defect. I wish I have been lacto-vegetarian when I was pregnant.
I've be a vegetarian for 17 years and enjoy 3 children.
Vegetarians don't neccessarily need to run a special supplement, vegans have a stricter diet than us.
Although they do trade name vitamin supplements specifically designed for vegetarians, although I own always freshly taken an excellent multi vitamin wheile not pregnant and just a prenatal vitamin during pregnancy.
Vitamin B is suitable
There is no need to give somebody a lift supliments on a vegetarian diet - pregnant or not.
A harmonize of fruit, veggies, nuts, cereal, and dairy give you adjectives the goodness you entail - for life.
Okay, I am guy so what do I know? Here is my experience for what it's worth...
My ex-wife, who never took any supplements, be told that see needed to do this and that because she was a lacto-vegetarian when she was pregnant. On our first doctor call in they drew blood telling her that she'd be iron imperfect. No surprise to either of us, but she in reality had better than average iron and be perfectly clean.
Our daughter, Amber, was born really healthy and approaching her mother has be a vegetarian adjectives her life. She is very soon 13 and has never have any serious health issues; to the contrary, she is 5’ 6” weigh around 90# and is becoming a young woman bit by bit (still to fast for me). As you already know dairy product and animals flesh raise for human consumption have adjectives kinds of hormones within them, which I believe explains why many little girls "mature" too efficient.
As far as I am concerned you are already doing the best thing you can for yourself and any adjectives children. You and your babies will be just fine.
If I may be so bold as to uplift you to breastfeed...it is the best thing you can do for babies a far as diet is concerned contained by their first year or so. Besides, it creates a bond for you and your baby that, from what I hold seen, is so vastly special.
Good luck!
I know you need to clutch folic acid..that's found it things approaching OJ. If you eat properly, you don't involve supplements. I have 2 kids and never took pre-natal vitamins. Those are lately prescribed because Dr's presume most people chomp through like crap LOL
