I have just this minute switched to vegetarian (ovo-lacto). I am keep hold of finding out the foods I love contain some form of animal product, like marshmellows, yogurt and jello. Besides these foods, what are some usual, everyday foods that are suprisingly made with animal product?? I've ordered Animal Ingredients A-Z, but until it get here does anyone have any input for me? Thanks.

it is easier than you give attention to... Just read the labels and it will share the story of all to be exact in the collection.
OR the best solution of all is to manufacture it your self from scratch !
Animal products are contained by almost everything (sugar, natural flavoring) and so on
read your label and you'll be surprised.
Beef, Chicken, Pork.all those hold meat in them, surprisingly a burger from McDonalds have very little.
Natural and Artificial Flavors and Food Coloring: These are made from thousands of ingredients which may be veg or non-veg. When fully broken down to subunits, a simple strawberry flavor may contain over a hundred ingredients. The words “flavors and colors” provide terrifically little information about the true composition of these items. Three of the most adjectives problematic ingredients used in flavors and colors are what I commonly refer to as “The Three C’s”; carmine, civet and castorium. Carmine is a bright red coloring agent derived from the pulverized shells of a beetle-like insect. Civet is extracted from a cat secretion and castorium is produced from a beaver secretion. Civet and castorium are used as flavor enhancers. Flavors can also contain ingredients produced by biotechnology (this process may utilize non vegetarian nutrients such as blood or animal tissue) as powerfully as derivatives of grape juice and animal grease.
What could be wrong with fruit cocktail? Would you believe at hand may be animal derivatives mixed into the fruit? Until a few years ago, the cherries in fruit cocktail be dyed with an artificial red color. That pernickety dye was expelled because it was suspected to be carcinogenic. Today, adjectives fruit cocktail companies without reliable supervision use carmine to color the cherries. In supplement, some fruit cocktails have flavors which may contain other problematic ingredients.

Bread.some has grease
Anything that says mono or diglycerides could be animal grease or could be vegetable fat. Unless the ingredient states 100% vegetable tubby you just don't know.
Some pizza places use fat in the dough and mcdonald's and burger kings french fries and hashbrowns hold lard within the actual fries (instead of the oil- which was ambiguous in my opinion). My direction is to be very sleepy of most restaraunts. I like shopping at my co-op which is more lacto-vegetarian friendly when it comes to ready to chomp through foods.
