Vegan diet and your teeth.?

How much of an impact does being a lacto-vegetarian have on your teeth?

I muse I get ample calcium through soymilk and whole-wheat bread. Lately though I've been getting a couple of cavity - though brushing my teeth isn't my forte.

Any vegans out there who enjoy or don't have problems next to their teeth?

I'm not a vegan since I use the soyproducts that contain small amount of dairy/egg but I'm close. I've be vege for close to fifty years and still have adjectives my teeth (including wisdom) and have lone had a few minor cavity. By my experience I'd say it improve your overall dental health as compared to the standard American diet.

Ok, Im a vegatarian and a dental nurse.
Im 34 and hold 3 fillings

I'm vegan and my teeth are great a short time ago brush and floss more like someone already said and fetch a small bottle of listerine with you so u can rinse after meal when not at home
I have bad teeth prior to going lacto-vegetarian, and I've noticed the rate of deterioration decrease DRAMTICALLY when I became lacto-vegetarian. Well, that doesn't unclude busting a filling on a popcorn kernal a few days ago.
