Is it possible to do like do they cook special lacto-vegetarian meals for you?
Answer:
Boot military camp is about stripping you of your self-worth and making you one with the rest of your group, brigade, squad, etc. If you enjoy a special dietary requirement, the military will assist you. If you have a special dietary nouns, you will be singled out and driven into the ground. The drill sergeants will look for reasons to pick on you and the social implication that come with vegetarianism/vegan-ism are the antithesis of what boot military camp looks to develop, namely meat-eatin' masculinity.
My suggestion is to try to pick which foods you eat but be predisposed to do what is asked of you. Once out of training, most mess halls own enough veggies for you to survive. They probably aren't cooked to lacto-vegetarian standard though.
I agree. When you are surrounded by basic and AIT, you won't enjoy much say so within how you eat. And the certainty that you are given 3 minutes to eat doesn't allow you to pick and choose. Also, the military is feed you the meals that they do for a point. You need an average of 4,500 calories a hours of daylight during basic because of the intense training and insufficiency of sleep. But again agreeing, once out of basic and AIT, and you attain to your duty station (if active duty) you will be capable of make it fine. Good luck
Yes..there usually are lacto-vegetarian MRE's.
