First make sure you catch the right kind of rice - short to med pellet, not long. Cook rice pref. in a rice cooker. After rice is done and cooling surrounded by a separate bowl (wooden is best), drizzle rice vinegar(you can also use regular) over rice, mixing and fanning at matching time. When cool, form into whatever shape (oblong or triangle), append dried seaweed(nori), sesame seeds etc. Enjoy! Also it help to wet your hand with aliitle hose down when forming rice.
Oh, it's super easy! Here's the easiest mode that my kids use to make a rice globe:
Take a small bowl, and put a sheet of plastic wrap over it. Put in a spatula full of rice (about as big as your fist). Sprinkle near salt if you resembling. Gather up the edges of the plastic wrap, twist it together, and afterwards shape the hot rice into a ball or a triangular shape (it'll be inside the plastic wrap, so your fingers won't draw from dirty).
And that is it! Basic rice bubble.
It's really easy to form it fancier. You can add stuff to the middle, resembling chopped pickles, or maybe a piece of cheese if you aren't lacto-vegetarian. Put it in in the past you gather the plastic up, and it will be surrounded by the middle of the rice ball.
After you fashion the rice ball, you can wrap it contained by nori seaweed (super healthy!), or sprinkle it near toasted sesame seeds. Or both.
Traditionally, rice ball are made with fish (but since you are lacto-vegetarian, I won't get into that) or near an "umeboshi" pickled plum in the middle. The umeboshi help kill germs and germs, so your rice ball will stay fresh longer. But plentiful people aversion the taste.
Hope that help! Rice balls are graceful and a lot of fun to product! And they work great on picnics.
