California Texas Florida and Nevada are the specific States I am refering to.
Orange Pekoe tea
Relish
Apple juice
Poutine
Do you hold others that you have found unyielding to buy while in the US ?
Answer:
Actually, I live contained by California and it's easy for me to find those items (esp. relish and apple juice). For ginger pekoe tea, I just be-bop my path over to a Whole Foods Market or Trader Joe's.
Poutine though... Are you Canadian? That's one thing I haven't run into, but consequently again I wasn't looking. You can find anything in Los Angeles.
As far as your put somebody through the mill, yes I've had that problem! Hilariously, I couldn't find Kraft cheese or soybeans for the life span of me when I spent time in the country sides Illinois. Hilarious because 10 miles away from where on earth I was in that was a to some extent large Kraft distribution center and I be surrpounded by soybeans! (Decateur Illinois beats Japan surrounded by soybean production) What's up with that?!
Okay, FLUFF, I grant, was firm for me to find when I first moved to LA. As a New England kid I grew up on peanut butter and fluff. It wasn't until almost 10 years ago that I found it gracing the shelves of my local supermaket. Same article goes for Goober Jelly.
Edit: I respectfully disagree John S. on Americans and relish. It's at every cookout I've ever be to... It's a common topping for hot dogs. (Oh faithfulness I'm drooling as I type) It's also a staple in most American refridgerators.
i live in pa and i can run to the store and pick up adjectives of that no problem except the poutine
It's the directive of supply and demand.
Americans don't drink tea - of any sort.
Relish they haven't hear of by that name.
They drink Orange liquid
Even I don't know what poutine is, and I'm Australian - we eat, and can buy anything from any culture, surrounded by any city!
Apple liquid? Are you serious? I think that's sold everywhere. Poutine I agree beside.
Poutine is a never hear of item. looked it up french fries with cheese curds and brown gravy. sounds hideous. Everything else I can find at any market. I live within No. Calif.
