gotta hold grilled onions. spicy mustard, not ketchup or bbq sauce on brats and good rolls are imortant too dependin on the size of the interconnect.

Brats and Special Sauerkraut
Melt 1 tbsp of bacon fat contained by a large solid pan.
Add chopped onions and garlic, saute until soft.
Add 1 cup of chicken broth, 1 cup beer and 1 sack of sauerkraut. Add black pepper to taste.
Lay bratwursts on top, cover.
Simmer meekly for 2-2 1/2 hours. Serve over mashed or boiled potatoes.
