If the temperature stays above ~40 degree then germs can grow. Over time that can be harmful, but will probably not waste you. I think you will know by look and/or smell if it have spoiled...
It wouldn't spoil to the point of self rotten and inedible--it would just be room warmth. Keeping deli lunch meats unrefrigerated can wreak them to develop listeria--very bad stuff.
