What's surrounded by the "fluent flavor" that's within sham bacon bits?

Answers:
I think it's mostly saline and "smoke flavoring" (usually derived from sawdust or actually wood smoked over a fire, it's also an antimicrobial) near other "spices", which can include mustard and other cooking spices. If there is dried/powdered meat products for flavoring, they must be scheduled as such. Bacos, if you read the label, is suitable for vegetarian. It is also soy based, Kosher, and MSG-free.
