it adjectives depends on your saliva and "intensity" of your lick...sounds stupid but's it's true
there is a formula for this.
Area of tongue within sq. inches divided by number of tastebuds times quantity of saliva produced per 10 min term. -breath rate divided by relative himidity plus how many teeth are coming surrounded by contact with the tootsie pop =number of lick required to center of tootsie pop.

Well I was watching a touch bit of this show about how they sort candy. That question come up so they built like a powered tounge to see how many lick it really does take. It waslike 318.
I'm gonna try it sometime, when I hold the time, lol.
