i always mess it up :(
Answers:
Steam it until it is bright green and plunge it into really cold hose down. That will set the colour and the warm for a few more minutes,
You are overcooking so do not move off it steaming for so long.
Good Luck.
Frozen vegs always come across mushy to me. For broccoli, I put frozen spears in a dish next to a tablespoon of water, cover and microwave until a short time ago hot.
Are you using a stove top pan for steaming (water contained by bottom) or an electric steamer?
it's easy next to a steamer that fits in your vessel. put water surrounded by bottom of pan, when it's boiling tag on steamer with broccoli, steam for something like 5-7 minutes with the top on. generate sure water is boiling and donate a bit if you think you involve to so you won't burn up your pan. i similar to to sprinkle on italian dressing right before it's organized. (the bottled kind).
