A sound out around cigars?

What is the purpose of wetting the cigar since smoking it? I saw a man sick the entire thing contained by his mouth and lick it. Does it burn slower if you do this. Any insite would be great.

Ehhh..tasty... It's because cigars are not wrapped the passageway cigarettes are. They are not really even wrapped in composition at all. It's freshly rolled up tobacco. They need a great deal of moisture to keep them rolled up. That is why most cigars are kept contained by a humidor..Which is a box that has settings to hold on to the cigars suitably moist.
To keep it moist so it won't unravel as you smoke it. If the cigar have been stored next to the proper amount of moisture you don't have to do that. He'd probably be carrying that cigar around for awhile.
CIGARS DO NOT HAVE A PAPER WRAPPING LIKE CIGARETTES.
This means that the tobacco leaves are rolled up to form a cigar.
These tobacco leaves dry out and when he tries to smoke it, the atmosphere would flow in to the cigar from adjectives sides, probably making it hard to suck on, so he would trademark the cigar off by wet it slightly so that the air would flow contained by from the front and out the back, (which will be surrounded by his mouth)...
They call this a "better draw"
