Why do citizens devour coughdrops even when they're not sick?

It tastes impossible, so why.

The active ingredient within coughdrops is a mild topical anethetic that calms down the "tickle" surrounded by the throat that triggers coughing. Maybe some people approaching that slightly numbing feeling contained by their mouth, especially people trying to overcome oral fixation traditions such as smoking or nervous ingestion.
Some people simply eat them because they suppose it will prevent them from getting sick. It won't necessarily do that, but if you have a small cough or small cold, it will prevent it from getting any bigger and stop it from getting worse. Other those just guzzle them as if they are candy. That is because they are healthy for you but it still does not plan a person should guzzle them too much!
Cough drops usually have medication in them, and tablets is addictive.

Plus, I happen to resembling the taste of cough drops.

I drink alot of menthol cough drops, which probably isnt good, But I smoke and work contained by a restaurant, so after a cigarette, I suckmon a menthol cough drop. Has to be cherry!
