Maybe you're attracted to the soaring caffeine content, compared to regular coffee (about twice as much). If you have a caffeine addiction, approaching most of us do, the extra fix generates a positive sense about the coffee, even if it taste about equal.
I don't know in the order of Starbucks, I think Tim Horton's is the best! Don't know what they put surrounded by their coffee but its waay better than regular coffee anywhere else.
