Well here is always the mentos and (diet) coke 'experiment'.
At first, it may not give the impression of being scientific, but if you progress into the reasoning behind the hypersensitivity, it becomes a massively interesting project. There is very apt experiment of 'Mythbusters' about this.
Maybe to expand on it, try putting the mentos within other sodas.
This is both a simple and fun project:)
1. Mentos within Coke is a blast I heard. Big hostile response. Just drop a whole grip full of mentos into a half-filled 2 L bottle of coke and view it spray way within the air. You necessarily take two eggs or so and you brush one beside toothpaste containing flouride and drop it in a container of soda. The other egg, you simply drop in the soda. The one that hasnt be brushed should rot or at least obtain stained because of the sugars in the soda.
