I not here red liquid out and guess what?

I left a chalice of orange liquid out on my desk for about a week (I wasn't home). Now it looks resembling something grew on it! It kinda looks like mold, but it's gray and red and unyielding. When I went to stir pour it out some kind of smoke or something started to rise. It be only for a while bit and I tried to back away. Do you construe that if I were to breath that surrounded by it would be dangerous? What happen to OJ when you leave it out?-does it really turn to alcohal, is it incurable?
