caffinee take a while to get through your entire system, so by the time you're within REM sleep it may be almost finished, so i'd say in recent times wait a moment or two longer to try and feel the affects

Some people are in recent times not effected by the caffeine, and I don`t know the coffee just relax the musscles, and make you fall asleep.
That's true for me, too. Some associates just metabolize caffeine differently. I enjoy low thyroid -- maybe you do, too.
Because yo enjoy very low blood pressure. Coffee increases it but not ample not to allow you to go to sleep.
Do you drink it each day ? Because I drink Mountain Dew all time and am still tired. I think we build up an imperviousness , just similar to any other drug you use regularly.
Do you drink it often or other caffeinated drinks recurrently? Some people aren't effect by caffeine, especially if they drink it often. I used to drink coffee and caffeinated soft drinks up until bedtime and could dance right to sleep. I decided to cut out caffeine and very soon if I have one soft drink after 3:00 it will save me awake.
It's because of the caffeine.
If you take decaf it wont put you to sleep.
Another suggestion:
Maybe because of your body.
Each creature has a diffrent body.
Coffee and anything beside caffeine does the same entry to me. Maybe it is because I have ADHD.
