I know this because Hood, who trade name low carb drinks such as milk, have not put out their egg nog this year (they did ending year), but this year have eliminate their slow movers (including low carb full fat milk) and egg nog be never seen again.
I don't know if it's still going on, but there's a site for those who want Eggnog sold year-round...

Sure why not! I'd buy it surrounded by July.
Perhaps they would, but later it wouldn't be as special. Something "special" isn't special anymore if you can get it anytime you want, so I don't know if relatives would buy it more - or get tired of it.
As for me, sadly I had to turn on a diet, so I won't be allowed to drink it, because it's difficult for me to stop. I even use it in my coffee - "Coffee Nog," my cereal "Capt'n Crunch - N - Egg Nog," and dip cookies within it.
