I think it is because cup do not go into recoil with the fizzy drinks. Most culture prefer glass to can but I know some individuals who like the appetite of can bottle drinks more.
Although it is claimed that the metal used in can do not take action with the beverage, at hand is acid contained by most of these drinks and reaction is unpreventable.

It must enjoy something to do with aluminium. Beer for instance taste infinately better out of a bottle than a can. I guess that's why we never see canned wine.
I believe it has to do next to how they are bottled. In a can is done a lot different than if it be made in a bottle. That is what I feel.
