Does anyone know how to properly cook nigiri?

I know nigiri is raw. Im asking how to prepare it in need poisoning my self or getting tapeworm.

I'm Japanese.

Like other people articulate, you need to seize sushi grade fish to kind sushi. In the US, usually people don't chomp through raw fish unlike Japanese do. So it's not mundane to see sushi grade fish sold surrounded by normal grocery stores contained by the US.

Anyways, If you want to get sushi category fish, you can go to a local Asian food store and ask if they hold a block or blocks of fish for sushi. Or you can go to a fish open market and buy fresh whole fish.

Anyway, don't buy fish at commonplace grocery stores. They are not normally intended to be used for making sushi.

That system usually you want to know how to shape sushi rice for nigiri and how to slice of fish or other ingredients that go on the top of sushi rice.

Actually making nigiri is considered particularly hard within Japan. And it is usually said to take in the order of 10 years to become a descent nigiri chef. So when I read your question, I thought, " Are you kid me?" because you said " how to PROPERLY cook nigiri." So I was surprised to see the ask. If you are in Japan, ancestors would say that you are tomfoolery.. But you don't live in Japan and family in the US don't lug your question approaching I do so I guess it's ok for you to say something resembling that. And probably I might be considered as a b*it*h because I said that ?(I don't know lol)

just go and get sushi grade Tuna from upright seafood store or local market. if you live contained by Richmond, VA area, travel to UKrop's they may have it. other grocery close to Publix have angelic one too. I don't think you can get hold of salmon for sushi grade though.
