Lychee are in season right presently!! They have them at my Vietnamese grocery. So yummy LOL. I love them. Where do they come from and what is their history. Are they and longan fruit similar?
Answers:
Lychees adjectives the way!! We do enjoy them in the West Indies, but it's a whimsical and moody tree which doesn't suffer fruit every year!
That's why they are so dam* good!

I approaching longans better normally, but singular if they're the ones from Thailand. The Japanese ones are really small have a much more herbal type flavor. Unfortunately, the Thai longans are firm to come by, so I rather devour fresh lychee over Japanese longans any day.
History knowledgeable, they're both east asian fruit. The words lychee and longan come from Chinese. Lychee just scheme that, no special meaning, however, longan routine "dragon eye" due to the appearance.
omgg, longans are the bestest fruit everrr!
nick care! :)
i personal like lychee better
lychee grows at cold temperature but not particularly... as far as i know, lychee is the local fruit of northern INDIA within summer seasons.... but I don't know whether they grow some where on earth else... i was thinking till presently, that lychee is our country's (INDIA's) local fruit...
I love lychee both can and fresh. The fresh ones rocks. In Chinese buffets, non-Asians look at me strange when I get some can ones in syrup from the fruit paragraph. They look at that stuff as gross things. They are like what is that.
