Answer:
This is interesting...I've never see frozen/cooked mussels before! Since they are already cooked, you should discard adjectives of the mussels that are still closed. The fact that they are closed method they were inert before the food purveyor cooked them.

Depending on the carton instructions fo re-heating, I wouldn't leave them contained by the pan too long. Shellfish hold a tendency to cool at the double -- probably since there's not much mass to them and they have deeply of air floating around the meat. I would reheat them right earlier your party, after serve them in shell beside their juices, and any reduced wine, lemon liquid, and herbs you might toss near it. Part of the allure of eating mussels is within their presentation. The shell makes them look attractive; minus it, they look kind of freakish and bug-like.

I must also recommend that you start purchasing live mussels from a competence seafood purveyor. Typically, Prince Edward Island (PEI) mussels are very inexpensive. My local Whole Foods offer them for about $6/lb; sometimes you can find them as cheap as $4/lb!! I guarantee buying them fresh and steaming them impossible to tell apart day will produce better taste mussels than you could ever get from a frozen bag. In case you're interesting contained by making them fresh sometime, I included a link below for an unforced recipe. Mussel recipes are exceedingly easy to find online if you're inkling adventurous! Good luck!
