What food should I run into class?

I'm supposed to bring in some Indian food or dish to food class but I'm not sure what to. (I'm not indian, but one of my neighbors is and she's going to support me out with this.) Since everyone contained by my class is white, I was wondering which Indian foods or dishes they would resembling, so I can have some theory of what to make. (by the agency, it has to be lacto-vegetarian because my neighbor is vegetarian).

thanks!

Answer:
I would product a vegetable curry or a dahl.

Good luck! I love Indian food, too! It's SO GOOD!
dirty rice near herbs and veges
Try making samosas (pastry with potatoes and veggies inside), pappadums and mango chutney, aloo gobi (potatoes and cauliflower), a simple rice dish, saag paneer (cheese within a creamy spinach sauce) and maybe a dal (lentil soup).

Chana Masala! It's my favorite--chick peas contained by masala sauce, with rice as you would expect. generally non-threatening, and incredibly tasty. Try to engender raita and naan too, if you can! They made me fall surrounded by love with Indian cuisine!
I think samosas will be economically received, as well as a mild chana saag. Don't label it too spicy...some people surrounded by your class may not be used to it.
Do you own to make it? If not, ask someone within your area around the best indian restaurant. Butter chicken or Paneer Mahkini is really good and the best choice for those trying Indian for the first time. I read aloud pick some up the night beforehand and put in a special dish. Most restaurants offer you the rice that goes beside it so you'll be set! Oh and be sure to ask for mild!

BTW, Paneer Mahkini is vegetarian so your neighbor should know how to make that.
I love pav bhaji,It's a kind of Indian prompt food.Hope Ur neighbor knows the recipe
