If you're still hungry receive an order of Spring rolls ( there's usually two per order) and drink one, and save the other for subsequent time. Spring rolls have a thinner crust, and are usually complete with veggies so it's improved.
Also consider the Buddha Delight or some places just give the name it Vegetarian Delight, it has an array of chinese and western vegetables delicately sauteed in garlic and chicken stock so it's in shape and low fat..and if you must put soy sauce on it ask for "low sodium soy sauce" It taste better that way anyways.

A lot of Chinese-American restaurants immediately have a "special diet" or "health-conscious" paragraph, usually consisting of steamed dishes. It's basically impossible to tell apart meats and veggies as the typical dishes, just prepared lacking the heavy sauces and oil. Many of the vegetarian dishes are polite, but watch out cuz closely of it is deep-fried before sauted.
