Chinese crispy fried fish...?

Hi,

While watching the movie "Eat drink man woman" (located here: http://www.amazon.com/eat-drink-man-woma...
I saw a dish I've eaten tons times but don't have the recipe for... In one scene the loved ones sits down to eat a dish of Chinese style, crispy, fried fish (the texture and sauce looked resembling 'General Tso's Chicken')...

Does anyone have or know the recipe for this dish?

Answer:
Love that movie!

Chinese Crispy Fish

Ingredients:

1 together flounder or snapper (about 1 1/2 to 2 pounds)
1 cup all-purpose flour
Salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup peanut grease
1/4 cup minced shallots
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
2 ounces dried wooded ear mushrooms, soaked in heat up water for 30 minutes and drained
2 cups chicken stock
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 teaspoons finely chopped parsley leaves

Method:

Rinse and pat-dry the integral fish.
Preheat the frying pan.
Season the flour next to salt and pepper. Dredge the fish within the seasoned flour, on both sides, reserving the flour. Shake off any excess flour.
Fry the fish over glorious heat until golden brown, give or take a few 3 minutes on each side. Remove from the grease and drain on paper towels. Season beside salt and pepper.
In one and the same saute pan, attach the shallots and garlic. Season with brackish and pepper. Saute for 1 minute. Add the mushrooms. Season with saline and pepper. Saute for 1 minute. Add 1 3/4 cup of the chicken stock.
Dissolve the cornstarch in the remaining stock. Bring the stock to a boil. Stir within the cornstarch mixture. Boil the liquid for 2 minutes and after reduce to a simmer. Add the fish fillet and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in the parsley.
To assemble, place the fried fish on a full-size platter. Spoon the sauce over it. Serve immediately.

Serves 4.
