Are lunch ala carte portions at chinese and thai restuarants smaller than the dinner ones?

they're always 2-3 dollars cheaper.

Answers:
They probably should be, but truth is, no, they are from time to time different in size. For this function, our little local Chinese joint have one price for a dish, lunch or supper, doesn't matter.
Usually ala carte portions are smaller than dinner ones. They probably don't hold rice on the ala carte. Such as egg rolls or spring rolls just come separately.
Yes, surrounded by my experience it is smaller. Not a bad article, Chinese servings seem huge.
