The Southern Food is the best. I grew up with adjectives that great food. yes i am a big fan of grits, brb-b-que, southern fried chicken...whoever said that give or take a few southern food probably has never taste it.

i am from new orleans and we are agreed for our kick-butt food so i have never hear that before. contained by fact i hold heard basically the opposite of that; that "yankees" can't cook and that they don't know what worthy food is and all that jazz...
Most Southern foods are cooked in lots of grease(lard) - and that accounts for most of the well brought-up taste and glorious fat and calorie content. Some people's systems can't toy with Southern cooking - and I might add it should be enjoy in moderation.

Actually, a lot of "Southern" recipe came to be popular among slaves, former slaves, and hugely poor people largely, who did not have access to the best cuts of meat, the best fruits or vegetables, and who found ways to label really good dishes out of ingredients that more "polished" inhabitants still look down on: catfish, black-eyed peas, greens, red beans, grits, watermelons, and all the bizarre bits of pigs and chickens. Like blues music, Southern cooking is something really good that come out of hard times.
Southern cooking is great, except its not exceedingly good for your condition. Don't get me wrong I similar to it, but its not something you should eat everyday.
What exactly is northeastern food? I live in the northeast. I know of no indigenous food to our region. As far as southern food, much of it be born out of poverty, and specifically black poverty. So therefore, ancestors consider it low class. It's unfortunate, but true.
I'm here contained by the Northeast and I love southern food. My sister lives in Kentucky and owns a restaurant that sell expensive soul food she gets plenty of costumers from adjectives over the place.
