My friends an I were discussion. One friend said that Chinese and Vietnamese people drink cat meat and rodent meat. She said that an epidemic in China call Sars came from drinking cats. If its true, do those cultures follow that tradition in the USA.

I know Koreans who were living contained by the US and knew of places where on earth they could get dog meat. I don't construe any culture should be criticized for the food they eat - Americans are somewhat too concerned with what other populace are doing. As long as they are not abducting and intake people's pets, or stealing livestock - I don't see the problem.
Yes, Asians do get through meat from animals that we don't. This is also true for people from other places too. To my awareness, SARS is not the result of eating cat meat. People surrounded by the far east have be eating elegant meat for centuries without a SARS outbreak. I am sure some folks from the far east who have relocated here do still devour dog, rat, and maybe cat meat. Just because we see them as pets, doesn't connote that we should judge them for their bite in meat.
Yes they munch through domestic animals, but no, that is not what cause SARS.
Ask anyone American who lives where Vietnamese or Chinese associates live, and they will tell you in that used to be stray dogs or cats roaming, but not since the V or C moved in. I've hear that from numerous people. I guess they're providing a service, as animal control is overworked. I in recent times hope they kill them humanely.

We don't similar to dogs because they are pets, Mans Best Friend, Asian Indians don't eat cows because contained by could be a reincarnated relative. Just eat doesn`t matter what they put on your plate. It would be rude not to.
