i need to label some Brazilian nut fudge for school and the ingredient utter i need sifted confectioners’ sugar. can you make clear to me what that is or a dutiful alternative for it?

Answer:
I don't know if there is an "alternative". But adjectives confectioner's sugar is....is powdered sugar. You get some and sift it. The purpose you sift is so you don't have big white clumps of sugar within whatever you are making. If you don't hold a sifter, use a cheesecloth, or any other towel that the sugar and fall through. OR freshly measure and pour....but see for clumps.
YES.....travel to the baking aisle of your grocery store.

Buy "powdered sugar" ( aka: confectioner's sugar)
Run it through a sifter at home.

There you go.
powderd sugar, dont have a sifter? newly sprinkle carefully.
In the UK it is called "icing sugar" if i.e. what you are wondering :)
Confectioners' sugar is another first name for powdered sugar. Sifted is when you put something in a sieve (sifter) and stroke it so that all the lumps come out.
