What do German ethnic group usually get through as the biggest dish?

Answers:
Germans in cities guzzle the same path as city-dwellers in other countries - lots of different types of foods from lots of different background. For main dishes, they get through chicken and pork the most, plus beef, veal, turkey, fish, et cetera. Goulash (which is actually Hungarian) is deeply popular, as are Italian-style pasta dishes with tomato sauces. Simple roasted meat are ubiquitous (roast pork loin, roasted chicken), recurrently with potatoes (boiled, roasted, mash, and au gratin) or spaetzle. Sausages are more of a lunch or late supper giving of thing, from my experience.

These days, I've had deeply of Germans tell me that younger associates eat Italian food, because it is lighter than the huge chunks of meat and potatoes which are traditional. I interest that a lot of general public answered Wiener Schnitzel - while you can get schnitzel within some places in Germany, i.e. actually Austrian, not German (Wien is the German given name for Vienna, which is in Austria).
