corn, anything from corn. also, squash, and remember the potato come from here to the U.K. and Ireland. Fry bread, the wonderful stuff. Easy way? thaw out frozen bread dough, pinch off small pieces, verbs very cracked, slide into very hot oil/fat. they will rise to top, turn, remove when toasty color. Plain, or shake some powdered or granulated sugar/cinnamon on them. Made into voluminous circles they sell them at fair etc as elephant ears!
