You can mash the edges beside the tines of a fork after you fold it over, this seals the edges in good health and they look neat along the edges. Dont use too much satisfying or it will mush out no matter what.

FOLD IT IN HALF BE SURE IT STRETCHES ENOUGH. USE A FORK TO SEAL THE EDGES. YOU CAN MOISTEN THE SEAM TO MAKE IT STICK ALSO.
