Being a former chef in Canada, here are 2 types, either Spanish or Hungarian, next to Spanish it is lighter in colour than Hungarian, and is other sweet, were the Hungarian is any sweet or hot, and extra hot.
It is generally labeled, and something within the supermarket would be spanish, as the other is more expensive and not ususally sold in a generic form, Hungarian paprika is almost other labeled as thus and noted to be sweet or hot, so as not to mix them up, a tablespoon of the wrong one and your going to know in the finished dish within was something wrong??
