What substance do they use to make the flame flare up on the grill when the chef is preparing to cook. I know it is fundamentally for entertainment. I own a teppanyak grill in my pay for yard kitchen and I be curious how to make the flame to dazzle my guests. I assume it may be some type of alchohol?

It is a pellet alcohol, similar to vodka, it has a impartial taste as not to filch away the taste from the food, sake is solely 14% and brandy tends to include a taste, I worked contained by a hotel that had a BeniHana surrounded by the establishment.
Just be careful it can be a nice show but it is also hazardous if not done right, we did alot contained by the kitchens I worked in, but the biggest point is once you have added the alcohol, stand subsidise for it to flame, and take it sour the heat back pouring anything on, it can flash, come back into the bottle and make happen an explosion, use a measured amount, pour off the flame, tilt the jar or vessel to catch the steam, and stand back until the flame dies out, as by later there is no more alcohol or arbitrary of flashback on you.
